Berlin University of Technology
The Technical University of Berlin also known as TU Berlin and Berlin Institute of Technology ranked amongst the top 150 universities in the world situated in Berlin, Germany. It is a member of TU9, an alliance of nine German technological institutions that has been conferred the title of “University of Excellence” and receiving funding from the German Universities Excellence Initiative. The university is broadly identified for its engineering problems in the field of Management, Computer Science, Human Sciences, Mathematics, and Mechanical engineering. Recently, 49 bachelor’s and 95 master’s programs were offered by TU Berlin by its seven varied faculties.
However, University records approximately 27% of international students’ enrollments annually and there are only 23 TU Berlin masters programs taught in English. Admissions at TU Berlin occur in summer and winter sessions. Entry requirements include over 60% in academics, German language or IELTS score (minimum band 6.0), and SOP. 3.) TU Berlin Admission Process
Following qualifications are required for International students to apply for admission to TU Berlin
- For Bachelors degree program – Certificate of University entrance.
- For Masters degree program – Undergraduate degree equivalent to bachelor’s program of a German university.

5.) TU Berlin Accommodation
Currently, TU Berlin does not have an on-campus housing facility. Although, international students can apply to private accommodation situated near the campus of the university. There are mainly two types of housing facilities are available for students who enrolled in universities of TU Berlin –
Student Dormitory – has 10,000+ spaces and is managed by the Student Union of Berlin. They cost around 250 EUR per month including community costs. Students Dormitories are the cheapest option but getting into them is difficult. To secure a place, Students need to apply months before.
Apartments – the next option for living is shared or private apartments. They cost around 300 to 700 EUR per month including communal cost.
6.) TU Berlin Fees
There are no tuition fees at TU Berlin whereas students of TU Berlin have to pay annually around 60,000 INR as the exam fees, semester fees, and other administrative fees.

8.) TU Berlin Placements
At TU Berlin, a placement facility is not available. Although, the university has a career service that assists students in preparation for jobs at top organizations. It organizes several workshops, individual coaching, and mentoring programs for soft skill development.
To summarize the above work, we can conclude that Berlin University of Technology is one of the best public research universities mainly focused on engineering problems. Therefore, students having experience in technical fields and have science backgrounds have maximum chances of getting accepted.
